You laughed at the thought of them tripping over themselves at the tempting smell of food. You bet they could smell the bacon for a mile away and were running back to the house as fast as they could. They wouldn’t keep you waiting long, you knew. You shook your head and smiled brightly, focusing on the food once again. You hoped they would get home soon so that the food wouldn’t go cold. The bacon on the stove sizzled and popped, the fumes making the whole house smell amazing!
